Gauchos Give
Launched in October of 2008, the Gauchos Give
community outreach initiative allows every Gaucho team, coach, and
staff member to give back to the campus and local community. This
outreach includes free clinics, helping families during the
holidays, providing financial and emotional support during
tragedies, and touching the lives of youth groups.
Giving back to the Isla Vista and greater Santa Barbara communities is a strong mission of the entire UCSB campus.
Part of the Gauchos Give program allows groups (non-profit or charitable) to enjoy games on campus for free. Throughout the year, a large number of tickets are reserved for groups to enjoy a game at no cost. For more information on the Gauchos Give Tickets program, click here or call (805) 893-UCSB.
UCSB's Student Athletic Advisory Board (SAAB), which is made up of several student-athletes across all 20 teams, is the core of Gauchos Give.
Gauchos Give is part of UCSB Athletics' Dare to Be Great program, the strategic plan to provide support for student-athlete scholarship costs, operating resources, and athletics facilities upgrades. The focus is also on funding women's athletics programs at UCSB, community outreach, and developing every student-athlete into a leader.
UCSB's Kids to College Program, is an ongoing outreach effort to give local youth the opportunity to experience the thrill of athletic events at the collegiate level in person. All youth (8th grade and under) are admitted FREE to designated games throughout the year. More
The Gauchos Give Tickets Program is part of UCSB Athletics' ongoing effort to be a positive and contributing member of the Santa Barbara and Central Coast communities.
