SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The No. 5 UC Santa Barbara men's water polo Senior Day game against No. 8 Pepperdine has been canceled.

The Gauchos were originally slated to close out their season against the Waves on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 12:00 p.m. at UCSB's Campus Pool. However, due to the fires which have been plaguing Southern California – specifically those in the Malibu area – the past several days, Pepperdine was unable to travel to Santa Barbara.

UCSB ends its 2018 campaign with an 18-8 overall mark and a 3-1 record in conference games. The Gauchos' .692 win percentage is their highest since 1991, tied with the 2016 team which also finished 18-8.

Santa Barbara averaged just over 13 goals per game this year, led by driver Boris Jovanovic's 77 goals. He ends his senior season with 177 career goals, placing him at No. 5 all-time in program history.

The Gauchos nearly went undefeated against conference foes in 2018, going 8-1 in all competitions against GCC teams. Their .750 win percentage during conference play is also tied for the second-highest mark since 1991.
