As you know, the implications of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been wide reaching, staggering and rapid. Thursday afternoon the NCAA Board of Governors canceled the remaining Winter & Spring Championships and on Friday, the Big West Conference officially canceled all competitions and championships for the remainder of the Spring 2020 season. We understand the deep impact this will have on our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans. The move was made with the health and safety of student-athletes, staff and the general public in mind, and with a distinct goal of helping minimize the spread of the virus.
We will actively monitor the situation nationally and here on campus and will provide updates as available and needed.
The Intercollegiate Athletics Department will maintain its regular business hours, and help facilitate any questions or concerns from all members of the community. As we move forward we will continue to support our student-athletes while working with the Big West Conference and the NCAA.
