SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Freshman attacking midfielder Finn Ballard McBride has been named this week's Big West Conference Freshman Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Ballard McBride earns the freshman honor for the second time this season, with his first having come on Sept. 16.

He was voted as the offensive player of the week for the first time in his career.

The Australian scored the Gauchos' second goal in their 2-0 win at Pacific on Wednesday, before scoring the opening goal in the home matchup against No. 1 Stanford and assisting junior right winger Rodney Michael's first goal of the season that gave the Gauchos a 3-2 lead with just under half an hour to play in their eventual 3-3 draw against the defending Pac-12 champions.

The Newington College product has now scored in three of the last five games and assisted twice in that span, playing significant minutes in the Gauchos' current six game unbeaten run.

The Gauchos will put that streak on the line on Tuesday at San Diego. A video stream, produced by the West Coast Conference and the University of San Diego, will be available, as will live stats. Additionally, an audio-only broadcast will be available, with coverage starting at 6:45 PM. All links can be found on the men's soccer schedule page.
