SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Climbing up to the No. 49 ranking following their weekend sweep against Drake and Denver, the UCSB men's tennis team heads back on the road for matches against Saint Mary's and UC Davis.

The Gauchos, 12-5 overall, are on a five-game win streak with victories over Gonzaga, Princeton, Boise State, Drake, and Denver.

"Last weekend was a big one for us," said Head Coach Marty Davis. "To pull out games the way we did is huge and something that can really help us as we approach conference play."

The Gauchos' match against Saint Mary's is set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Tim Korth Tennis Complex.

The Gaels (6-13) are led by Damon Kesaris, posting a singles record of 6-1 in the No. 1 slot. Kesaris recently snapped his nine-match win streak having his match against BYU go unfinished 6-1, 4-6.

The Santa Barbara tandem of Morgan Mays and Simon Freund moved from the No. 9 spot of nationally ranked doubles teams currently sitting at No. 19 in the country.

Due to impending weather conditions, Santa Barbara's match against No. 60 UC Davis has been re-scheduled to Monday at 1:00 pm at the Mayra Welch Tennis Center.

The Aggies upset Big West opponent No. 46 Cal Poly last weekend with a 4-3 win. Led by Alec Adamson, James Wade, Eli Whittle, and Bryce McKelvie, Davis' four seniors pose a challenge to the Gauchos playing at the top of their lineup.

This will be the second Big West opponent Santa Barbara faces off against. Their first match coming off a 7-0 sweep of Hawaii Jan. 15.
