Played in all 28 games and scored 39 goals with 17 assists…Both figures ranked second on the team, as his 56 total points also ranked second…Attempted the second-most shots on the team with 117 (4.2 per game), while shooting at a .333 clip…Picked up 25 steals, 19 drawn ejections, and nine field blocks…Led the Gauchos in scoring six times, and registered a hat trick or better in five of those…Ended the season with a hat trick over No. 8 Long Beach State…Best offensive performance came in a four-goal effort in UCSB’s 10-7 win over Air Force.

MPSF Freshman of the Year
Shane Hauschild had a standout first season at UCSB...Was named MPSF Freshman of the Year after leading the Gauchos in goals with 32 and points with 56...Was also named Honorable Mention All-MPSF...In addition to his scoring exploits, added 10 steals, drew 11 ejections and had five field blocks...Had multiple goals in nine matches...Scored a season-high four goals in a 14-13 sudden death win over Long Beach State...Tallied three goals in an MPSF Tournament match against Cal.

High School
Attended San Marcos High School and played for Coach, Jeff Ashton. Scored over 100 goals in his last three seasons in high school. Was honored Channel League First Team for three years while also being named All CIF Team. Also played volleyball and won Channel League Volleyball Championship his senior year. Honored with San Marcos Male Athlete of the Year his junior and senior year. Named to the All CIF team and Channel League MVP his junior and senior year.

Shane Taylor Hauschild was  born on Dec. 5, 1995 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Son of Dwayne and Jenni Hauschild, has a younger brother and younger sister. Names the Los Angeles Lakers and L.A. Kings as his favorite sports teams. Favorite tv show is "Breaking Bad"..."The Outsiders" is his favorite novel. Likes to listen to the band, Sublime and enjoys surfing. Was recruited by Long Beach State...Was a standout volleyball player in high school and originally arrived at UCSB as a two-sport star. Aspires to one day become a personal trainer.
