Last season, UCSB topped the Tigers 13-9 behind an all-around team effort that saw nine different players score a goal. Pacific is led by the duo of Engin Ege Colak and Luke Pavillard who have 53 and 52 goals, respectively.
Last Week's Results
In their third conference game of the season, UCSB fell in a nail-biter, 10-9 against No. 6 UC Irvine. Despite an impressive five-goal, seven steal display from Shane Hauschild, the Anteaters held off a late rally to edge out the win. Hauschild poured in a hat-trick in the first quarter alone, helping the Gauchos to an early 3-2 lead after the first quarter. A 3-0 run, however, helped UC Irvine pull ahead in the second quarter. After another short run to extend its lead to 7-4, UCSB utilized a 5-2 run to tie the game at 9-9. With less than a minute remaining, UC Irvine scored the game-winner and came through with a key field block on Jacob Halle's shot as time expired.
