Member of the Big West Conference All-Academic Team and winner of the Academic Award at the Gauchos' team banquet ...Entered Big West Tournament semifinal showdown with Long Beach State (March 8) having made just four of previous 27 shots, but shot a career-best 83.3% (five-of-six) and scored 12 points in win over the 49ers...Then-career-high 15 points at Oregon State (Jan. 16) came after scoring only four points in previous four contests combined...Made personal-best three three-pointers on just four attempts in narrow win over the Beavers...Matched career-high point total at Cal Poly (Feb. 17)...Following first scoreless game as a Gaucho at Purdue on Dec. 15, Willett poured in 14 points in convincing win over St. Mary's (Dec. 19) in just 17 minutes of action...Other 14-point effort came at UC Irvine (Jan. 24), where she scored two baskets just before halftime as UCSB re-took the lead...Opened season with 12 points in victory over Western Kentucky...Shot 50% or better in all six double-digit performances of the season...Season-best 10 boards in narrow loss at Virginia (Dec. 2).

Finished her inaugural collegiate campaign averaging 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest...Her 17.9 minutes per game was tops among all Gaucho reserves... Saw over 20 minutes of floor time in 15 games...Scored in double-digits six times, with a career best 14 points coming against Cal State Fullerton to open the Big West Conference tourney...Averaged 10.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in league tournament play...Willett grabbed a career-high 14 boards in a Feb. 21 thrashing of CSUF to go along with 11 points for her first career double-double...Her four steals against Idaho in the Thunderdome were also a career high.

Lisa Willett traveled only a short distance to attend UCSB after prepping at Santa Barbara High School...Enjoyed great success in each of her four seasons playing for Coach Andrew Butcher...She was named All-Channel League was well as All-County while the Dons won four consecutive City Championships...Steadily improved during high school career, averaging 10 points a game as a freshman, and then 15, 17 and 23 in the following three years...This trend is also reflected by annual increases in rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots...She scored a career-high 38 points against San Marcos during her senior year and graduated as the Dons' all-time leading scorer...Also had 12 steals in a single game vs. Rio Mesa as a junior...Willett was a SBHS Scholar-Athlete and was one of 20 graduates to be named a Distinguished Don.
