SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The annual UC Santa Barbara women's soccer golf tournament and post-tournament reception will be held on Friday, April 24 at beautiful Glen Annie Golf Course in Goleta, Calif., it was announced today.
"This tournament is always a great day and a great chance to reconnect with our donors, fans and alums," said Gauchos head coach Paul Stumpf. "We are very excited about the event."
The cost per golfer is $150 which, in addition to the round of golf, will include a cart, boxed lunch, practice range balls, post-round appetizers and soft drinks, and one raffle ticket. The tournament will have a shotgun start and will be a scramble format. Prizes will be given for longest drive and closest to the pin.
Golfers will be asked to check-in between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start will be at noon and the practice range will be available to all golfers beginning at 11:00 a.m.
At 4:30, following the tourament, there will be a women's soccer friends and alumni social. Everyone in attendance will hear from Coach Stumpf and will have the opportunity to meet the current UCSB women's soccer team members. Appetizers and wine will be provided. The social is free to players in the tournament and $15.00 for guests.
On Saturday, April 25, the Gaucho women's team will play a pair of spring games. At 10:00 a.m. they will host Westmont College and at 11:30 a.m. they play Cal State San Marcos. Both matches will be played at Harder Stadium.
