Before UCSB: Palina attended TCU for her Freshman year of college where she posted a 17-10 overall singles record and a 19-14 overall doubles record. 

National and ITF: Dubavets took the 3rd place doubles prize at the European Junior Championship as an U16 player, she accomplished 5 ITF doubles titles, one ITF singles titlem and came in first for the U16 and U18 Belarus Championship. 

Personal: Palina started playing tennis at the age of seven and entered her first tournament at age 8. Her most memorable tennis moment was when she played for the national team and they were invited to the U16 World Cup. Her favorite movies include The Bucket List and The Game, and she enjoys exploring new places and new hobbys during her free time. Palina looks forward to improving her tennis level both physically and mentally, and hopes to beat all of the teams in the Big West and help bring the team to the NCAA Sweet 16. Dubavets chose UCSB because of the great academic and tennis programs. She believes that UCSB can help her acheive both her goals as a player and as a person.
