NORTHRIDGE, Calif.- As poor air quality looms in Los Angeles, Calif. from the nearby Woolsey Fire, the UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team pulled out of their day 2 matches as the tournament moved to Cal State Long Beach.

Although there was hope that matches would continue on Sunday, the Cal State Northridge Matador Classic cancelled the final set of matches with players' health at the forefront of the tournament host's priorities.

Captain Stephanie Yamada, junior Dominika Paterova, and junior Amit Lev-Ari each advanced to the Singles A Quarterfinals where they were set to play Saturday afternoon matches.

UCSB was eliminated from the Doubles A bracket after losses from both Yamada-Paterova and Valero-Lev-Ari in Round 1 on Friday.

Following the early doubles losses, the Gauchos looked poised to make a run in the Singles A bracket, yet with unhealthy air quality, SB pulled out of Day 2 of the tournament as the latter half of matches were cancelled on the final two days of tournament action.
