SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Following an undefeated weekend, sophomore Elizaveta Volodko secured her first career Big West Conference Athlete of the Week award after a split weekend against UC Riverside and Hawaii.

Volodko won all four of her matches on the weekend en route to UCSB's second Big West Conference Athlete of the Week honor this season. The first Gaucho to win the award this year was Stephanie Yamada.

In singles, the Moscow, Russia native led the way in the Gauchos' 7-0 win over Riverside with a 6-2, 6-3 two-set sweep over UCR's Mahil Silpachai while in the three-spot.

From singles No. 3, Volodko kept it rolling against Hawaii with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 comeback victory for the Gauchos' only point of the day against the Rainbow Wahine.

Teaming up with Anastasia Goncharova, the pair remained undefeated on the year with a dyad of wins over the weekend.

Goncharova and Volodko improved their 6-0 season record with the only doubles triumph for UCSB against Hawaii as the pair toppled Michelle Pits and Roxanne Resma from the two-hole with a 6-3 win.
